Antique Electricians Style Knife , Wood Handle, W.W.2 Or Earlier, EDC Or Display:
$45.00

The antique pocket knife is a single blade electricians style knife and is still in great shape for its age, I dare even say its still a capable EDC tool. This knife is pretty hard to find, the previous owner was a reputable knife store owner with 30+ years of experience and he puts this blade around W.W.2 due to the pattern, use, person who sold it to him, the wood scales and design. Hes suspects it could even be earlier because the more iconic 2 bladed version with the flat head blade was in wide use by W.W.2 .  However, I cannot confirm this and these dates are merely informed speculation. The knife is still in suprisingsly good shape with a \"snap\" upon opening that all of us traditional knife collectors love. The blade is still hair popping sharp too and could even be used as an EDC multi tool as is, especially given the wire stripper function, (though I would not recommend this since this knife is a piece of history). The place of manufacture is also up for debate, the previous owner saw similar models come out of Solinger Germany, but this is unlikely since most knives from there are typically marked clearly. However, given its quality and ergonomics, it is believed to be of American or European constriction (with most opinions still leaning towards Germany).

It shows some signs of use and sharpening but not abuse, leading me to believe this was likely used by someone after the war from surplus, or that it wasnt used heavy for repairs in the field (especially not for combat).

Other condition issues are the patena/ toning of the blade , (which does look gorgeous and add character to this knife, giving it that \"vintage look\") . Another is a large pice of the wood scale that seems to have worn off, but it seems to have been repaired, as the handle still feels pretty smooth and ergonomic. If you plan to use this hard as an EDC tool, it could use some minor restoration, but again it is more than capable as is, and I would strongly urge against it because this is a Collectable gem. Considering the condition and ambiguity of the date, im not asking top dollar for it and would love if it fou d its was to another collector who appreciates it as much if not more than I do :)

Also please not the U.S. State Quarter in the photos is not included, and is pictured only for scale and size comparision to give you a visual idea of the size of your new knife
