Antique Drake Painted Chalkware Diamond Jubilee Oil Advertising Coin Bank 1934 For Sale

This antique Drake Painted Chalkware Diamond Jubilee of Oil Advertising Coin Bank is a unique and rare find for collectors of vintage still banks. The bank features intricate painted details and has a sticker on the rooftop that reads “1859 1934 The Diamond Jubilee of Oil Titusville, Pennsylvania”. The bank is very well crafted and has stood the test of time with minimal damage. The artist stamped his name physically into the piece which can be clearly seen on the side of the roof (see photos). It still can serve its original purpose as a coin bank with the opening unrestricted towards the top and side of the piece. There are currently at least two coins inside of the bank. While the damage is minimal, it’s still worth noting. There are paint chips mainly focused along the edges of the piece and on the inside of the coin slot from use. The bank measures about 7” wide and 8” tall.
