This is an exceptionally rare hand painted plate with the impressed Bodley mark and the pattern and artists numbers 5 over 2759 in dark red underglaze. Please see photos for more in depth description. It was made in the E J D Bodley period 1875-1892 in Burslem Staffordshire England. (In 1870 named Hill top Works and later named Hill Pottery and in 1882 named Crown Works) (The last similar plate that was offered for sale in England at sale sold for 700 pounds)The condition is perfect -Has spent its life in display cabinets.Size: 9" in diameter and 1 1/4" in height.All special items are triple wrapped, double boxed, tracked and insured for delivery.
