This antique vermeil 800 silver filigree Rosary & 800 vermeil silver hinged Rosary box is super special.
Condition : EXCELLENT - No damage, repairs or dents to the lovely beads - No issues with the hinged box.
Material : 800 Silver - 80% Silver & 20% Alloy - Referred to as "Continental" or "European" silver.
Special Features : Both the Rosary & the Rosary box are thinly covered with gold (gilded, vermeil) for a special brilliance.
Rosary Features : 59 pierced perfectly symmetrically spherical 4 mm beads - a heart-shaped medallion & a raised casting of a beautifully detailed Crucifix stamped "800" on the back center.
Overall Hanging Length : 14" Long from center - 4" drop & 10" lariat - too small to place over an adult head to be worn as jewelry, more of a pocket or hand held Rosary.
Crucifix Measurements : 7/8" Long x 5/8" wide.
Rosary Box Features : The very pretty round 1-1/2" x 3/4 tall hinged jewelry box closes securely with a click sound - stamped "800" on the inside top - Due to age & use, the vermeil is not as bright on the outside of the Rosary box - inside is more luminous.
