The World Series Years, Three Eras!

A gorgeous Waterford (Ireland) Crystal baseball to mark the 2009 World Series championship. It’s an eye-catcher and light grabber with beautiful Yankees logo, the 2009 championship wording, stenciled at base as No. 3877 of a production of 5100. Comes with original certification and original box from its single owner. It is in excellent shape, suitable for immediate public display. (In that Series, the Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies, four games to two. Outfielder Hideki Matsui was the Series MVP)
A 1979 media guide with a cover showcasing catcher Thurman Munson and leaping reliever Rich Gossage in a 1978 photo. The guide was published after the Yankees won the 1978 World Series, beating the Los Angeles Dodgers, four games to two. This was the year the Yankees bested the Boston Red Sox in a playoff game to make the post-season. Infielder Bucky Dent was the Series MVP, after his famous playoff HR vs. the Red Sox. The 98-page guide has bios and background on each team member – including names like Billy Martin, Reggie Jackson, Munson, Ron Guidry and Catfish Hunter as well as insights into numerous former Yankee heroes. It reminds you that box seats cost $7 and bleachers were $1.50. The guide has a tear on its lower back cover, shows minor wear but is otherwise unmarked.
A 1963 official program and scorecard with a spot-color photo illustration of World Championship Yankee Stadium after the team won the 1962 WS, defeating the San Francisco Giants, four games to three. Pitcher Ralph Terry was the Series MVP. The 20-page program reminds that box seats were $3.50 and bleachers, 75 cents. The used program has a few small bends and creases but is otherwise unmarked. The ads for chewing gum, cigarettes and whisky transport you to another era.
