The Document is Full and Complete with Multiple Signatures of Parties Involved and Secretarial Signatures. This Legal Document is Written on Vellum Paper and Written in Ink That has Aged. A Beautiful Piece of American History That Would Make a Great Addition to the Presidential or Early American Document and Autograph Collection. Land Grant Document Secretarially Signed for President Martin Van Buren.Unbound in very good condition with some aging and folds. Approximately 16" x 10". Affixed paper seal (torn on one side). Old folds, a little toning, small crease in lower right corner. Signed twice in a secretarial hand for President Martin Van Buren. A land grant for property in Detroit Michigan issued to person named George Stevens.
"...according to the provisions of the act of congress of the 24th of April 1820, entitled An Act making further provision for the sale of the Public Lands, for the West half of the South East quarter, the East part of the South West fractional quarter, and the East part of the North West fractional quarter of Section six, in ownership four South of Range seven East, in the District of lands subject to sale at Detroit, Michigan, containing two hundred and thirty-nine acres and ninety five hundredths of an acre".
