This pair of vintage sterling silver earrings have been crafted by one of the master Hopi silversmiths, Victor Coochwytewa (1922-2011). He is a member of the Water clan and of the village of Shungopavi at Hopi. Victor\'s work is highly sought after and very collectible.

These earrings have a beautifully crafted kiva step design. The design and the excellent craftsmanship clearly show why Victor is considered one of the master Hopi silversmiths. The earrings measure approximately 1\" across. They are signed with Victor\'s raincloud hallmark and also the hallmark of the Hopi Silvercraft Guild. These Hopi sterling silver earrings have screw back clasps that are working well and they are in great vintage condition.

Victor Coochwytewa was one of three Native American elders chosen as Arizona Indian Living Treasures at the seventh annual AILTA award ceremony held in Phoenix in September 1994.
