Signed PERSONAL/ PRIVATE Letter Walter O\'Malley Brooklyn Dodgers MUST SEE:
$32000.00

This listing is for a Serious Brooklyn Dodgers Collectors Only!

I set up a private listing so buyer can remain anonymous to other buyers. These items would make a cool gift for a Brooklyn Dodgers collector, especially when framed!

Private/Personal memorabiliahas become so hot in the collectables market because simply they are One-of-a-kind and irreplaceable. This letter, to me, is sort of like an ending of an era regarding the Mulvey\'s involvement with the Dodgers.

In March 2018, a baseball signed by O\'Malley sold at sale for over $28k! Wow!

This listing includes a signed PERSONAL and PRIVATE letter from Walter O\'Malley written March 12, 1975 and sent to Marie (Chickie) Mulvey Anderson and addressed to her siblings Ann & Stephen (Bud) following the passing of their father James (Jim) Mulvey who passed away in Vero Beach in 1973.

The personal letter mentions Jim\'s estate and the sale of his stock... which I am assuming was his interest in the Dodgers as it appears in Walter\'s last paragraph, he kindly remarks that the children \"are now, and have always been, members of the Dodger family.\"

I live just South of Vero Beach where at one time Jim and Chickie lived and Bud lived just south of me before his passing.

Also included:

  • An old newspaper clipping that must have been written before this letter as the editorial suggests Walter purchasing Mulvey\'s interest in the Dodgers.

  • A couple of random Dodgers articles from the 80\'s

  • A March 30, 1949 Service receipt from a Ford dealer in Vero Beachthat serviced one of the Dodgers Busses during Spring Training. I think that is pretty cool.

Details:

1) Please keep in mind that these items are delicate and have aged. They have been carefully hidden/stored inside a book for many years.

2) I did not get the letter authenticated. I have no problem doing so. I held off because personally, I didn\'t want to have the letter sealed. I thought a serious collector may want to make a cool framed collage of some sort with the letter, envelope and perhaps news clipping along with maybe something else from that era...I thought the Ford Service receipt would also be cool framed, but perhaps include that with other collectibles during that time... just my thoughts.

3) Please look the items over carefully before offerding. These items are non-refundable unless of course grossly misrepresented... but you are getting what you see.

You are welcome to ask as many questions as you like, but pretty much what you see is what I know.

Dodgers Stadium in Vero Beach where the Brooklyn Dodgers had Spring Training for many years still exists today. My son plays baseball tournaments there often.

Free expeditedshipping including tracking & insurance is included in the sale. US Buyers only! Sorry.
