SCARCE ANTIQUE Hand Written Affidavit of Bastard Child of Mary Hewitt-1851 For Sale

Up for sale is a SCARCE, ANTIQUE fantastic handwritten English Affidavit of Mary Hewitt acknowledging a male bastard child. This is from Ontario in United Counties of Wentworth and Halton, and signed by the Justice of the Peace. Dated 30 August 1851.
The affidavit is written in old English and has mostly legible writing.
This document measures approximately 14 x 12 inches. It is generally in Fair condition with some browning, fading and smearing to the ink. Some staining, wear and grime that has accumulated over the years. There are several creases from folding, as well as several tears and chips in the paper. The remains of an old wax seal are in the middle of the document.
There is only the signature of the Justice of the peace at the bottom and the "X" mark of Mary Hewitt, as well. Contracts are not my typical area of expertise, so please ask any questions and see photos for the detail of signatures.
This is a fabulous piece of English history and would be a great addition for any collection!
