A rare pre-1871 Chicago fire view of the Second Presbyterian Church located on the corner of Wabash Ave. and Washington St. Also known as the "spotted church" it was designed by architect James Renwick Jr. (who also designed St. Patrick's cathedral in New York city) and it acted as the place of worship for the Second Presbyterian congregation (an offshoot of the First) from 1851-1871 before it was destroyed by the fire.
