RARE TINTYPE -- LIKELY EARLIEST KNOWN PHOTOGRAPH OF TABLE TENNIS PLAYERS:
$2495.00

Up for sale is a true rarity....a tintytpe depicting 3 men: one of which is holding a ping pong paddle and another holding both a paddle and ball.
Table Tennis originated in England in 1860\'s/1870\'s. Purportedly, it did not arrive in the States until the early 1880\'s but this photograph -- which was found with a group of other American Photos may disprove that. This tintype dates from the very early days of the sport. I performed some very broad internet searches and couldn\'t find any photos remotely closely to this one in date. It is in great many respects an origin photo - Think Cartwright or Doubleday with a bat, Naismith with a peach baskets
