This is an authentic, vintage U.S. Senate Chamber Pass providing access to The President's Gallery issued by President Lyndon B. Johnson just 10 days after the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Measuring approximately 4 1/8" x 2 3/4", the pass is printed on heavy ecru stock with a gold metallic border and a background image of the White House in blue. The Coat of Arms from the Presidential Seal is embossed in gold on the upper left side of the pass. Immediately to the right are the words "ADMIT TO THE PRESIDENT'S GALLERY" "UNITED STATES SENATE". Name and date lines appear immediately below. A signature line for the President appears at the bottom, with President Lyndon B. Johnson's signature boldly signed in black ink. The hand-signed signature has not been authenticated and is offered as-is. With a clean, unmarked front and back, the vintage pass is in virtual pristine condition. It has no folds, tears, holes or damage of any kind. Includes one (1) sheet of vintage White House stationery. Directly from the Oval Office, this prolific Presidential relic originates from the most pivotal Presidential transition in U.S. history.All photos were taken without flash.
