Marc Chagall 1924 HIGHLY IMPORTANT LETTER - First French Acknowledgement Signed For Sale

Here we have a HIGHLY IMPORTANT SIGNED Marc Chagall letter!This letter was written by Marc Chagall to a patron of his artwork in which he's given him his first real acknowledgement in France. This letter was dated May 3, 1924 and also comes with a translation, as the letter was written in French. In this letter, Chagall speaks very sincerely towards his fan expressing that this is the first acknowledgement from a French collector and that it truly seems to touch him. This for an artist, who would be later known as a Parisian artist. This letter is incredibly special and some could say belongs in a museum for art history. It was purchased in 1987 at a Sotheby's Important Judaica - Manuscripts and letters sale. Attached is a copy of the information of the letter from Sotheby's and will be included with the letter. This letter appears to be in very good condition with only slight signs of foxing as it is almost 100 years old! This Chagall signed letter would be a wonderful addition to your collection!
