Lot of Nine (9) Antique Small Stoneware Whiskey Rum Moonshine Jugs
This is a nice little collection of antique stoneware jugs in various sizes, shapes, and colors.
The two beige mini jugs each measure 1-1/4 inches tall and have a diameter of 5/8 inch.The brown mini jug measures 1-3/4 inches tall and has a diameter of 3/4 inch.The tall, narrow jug measures 3-1/2 inches tall and has a diameter of 1-1/2 inches.The two beehive jugs each measure 2-3/4 inches tall and have a diameter of 2-1/4 inches.The tapered jug measures 3-3/4 inches tall and has a diameter of 2-1/4 inches.The black jug measures 3-1/2 inches tall and has a diameter ranging from 1-3/4 inches to 2 inches.The Greybeard jug measures 2-7/8 inches tall and has a diameter of 1-7/8 inches.
None of the jugs have corks or seals, nor do any of them contain any labels or markings except for the Greybeard jug, which is marked "POSSIL POTTERY 18 GLASGOW" and "MADE IN SCOTLAND" on the bottom. It features an ornate image on the front and "THE GREYBEARD" on the top. The neck and the top of the handles were dipped in yellow slip glaze.
All jugs are fully intact but have minor wear (a few have some minor chipping). Refer to the photos for condition.
