This is an authentic major league baseball that has been hand signed and inscribed with “HOF 91” by Gaylord Perry. He played in the MLB as a pitcher for 22 seasons, debuting with the San Francisco Giants from 1962-1971, and playing with seven other teams from 1962-1983. Perry is a five-time All-Star, a two-time Cy Young award winner, a three-time Wins Leader and pitched a No-Hitter on September 17, 1968. He is one of only six pitchers to win the Cy Young Award in both the American and National League. Perry retired in 1983, was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991 and the Bay Area Sports Hall of Fame in 2009, and had his No. 36 San Francisco Giants jersey number retired in 2005. Autograph obtained in person at a public signing by the seller, but the ball has a couple of small stains on it as indicated in the images shown. The ball is signed with a blue ballpoint pen and comes with a certificate of authenticity autograph ticket from PV Mall Sports Collectibles.
