a WW1 First Division 28th Infantry Soldier’s (William Harrison Bruce) original personal Journal Diary from 1918 with handwritten entries beginning January 28, 1918 stateside during training and includes entries upon arrival in France in May 1918 and then battle related entries. Last dated entry Oct 14, 1918. This Journal Diary begins with Soldier identifying information on front page, printed English-French vocabulary words and illustrations of military patches with ranks. The remainder has printed page headings and dates. Handwritten entries include autographs of comrades, Accounts of Battles Engaged in, and identified superior officers. After dated entries there are various additional notations and poetic writings dedicated to Veterans of the First Division.
