The man and woman, well known heroes or gods, were worshiped by almost every dynasty since recorded Chinese history. The age of the figurines is uncertain. The figurines were given as a gift to our uncle, an artist in L.A. in 1966, by a museum curator friend as payment for work our uncle had done for him.
