“The legendary Soviet perfume "Stone Flower" was created in 1955 at the New Dawn factory by perfumers P.V. Ivanov and V.A. Gribanova.
Luxurious chypre composition is in no way inferior to the representatives of French perfumery. Her pyramid included notes of bergamot, sage, oregano, thyme, marigold, musk, iris, sandalwood, oak moss, birch tar, buckwheat honey and leather. Deep, enveloping, noble bittersweet aroma. Perfume belonged to the category of "extra", and were among the most expensive produced in the USSR.
Luxurious "Stone Flower" was the pride of Soviet perfumery. In 1958, he won the Grand Prix at an industrial exhibition, the composition used innovative components, such as synthetic musk. And in 1961, perfume was presented to Jacqueline Kennedy as a diplomatic gift.
Design deserves special attention. The surprisingly beautiful bottle with a ground-in lid, resembling a flower bud, decorated with a gold string with a seal, was made so skillfully that many mistook it for crystal, but, in fact, it was glass. And, of course, a luxurious box made of thick cardboard, imitating a malachite box, as if descended from the pages of a fairy tale by Pavel Bazhov. These enchanting, soulful spirits were loved by the famous Soviet actress Lyubov Orlova. Luxurious and aristocratic aroma of bergamot flowers, oak moss and musk harmoniously combines cool freshness and a slight hint of bitterness. Today, the original vintage perfume "Stone Flower" in good condition is a rarity."
