Vintage Wagner Ware No 10 (1060C) Cast Iron Skillet Restored Condition Heat Ring For Sale

This 100-year-old skilletdates to 1924 and is in very nice, restored condition.Wagner Ware cast iron produced before WWII are the finest in quality forthat period. They tend to have very few casting flaws resulting in a smoothpolished finish on both the interior and exterior surfaces.The cooking surface has light utensil scores and hints of fine etchingfrom corrosion. These are undetectable as you glide your fingers of a nearglass smooth surface. The skillet does not sit flat and spins on a polishedgranite surface (see photos). So, trying to use this on a ceramic stovetop isnot recommended.Not only are these early larger skillets getting harder tolocate, but larger Wagner skillets feature a higher skillet wall that helpswith keeping your food from splashing over the walls.A great skillet as an everyday user on a gas range.No chips, cracks, or repairs..

Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process ensures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is lightly seasoned with one round of Crisco at 450 for 1 hours. This item was photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details.
