This vintage set of terracotta warrior Chinese statues is a must-have for any collector interested in Chinese culture. The intricate details of the warriors' armor and weapons showcase the skilled craftsmanship of the unknown manufacturer. The stamp on the front reads Qin bing ma zhi which means Qin soldiers and horses. These statues represent members of the Terracotta Army which is a collection of terracotta sculptures depicting of the armies of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. It is a form of funerary art buried with the emperor in 210-209 BCE with the purpose of protecting him in his afterlife.
The figures are perfect for display in any home or office as a set or used as bookends. The warrior on the left has minor damage to the base. The warrior on the right has some damage on the front and back of his left leg and on his head. Other small blemishes around the bodies . The statues look similar but have small differences mostly noticable in the hands.
