Vintage Santa Clara Pueblo Indian Pottery Flora Naranjo Old Indian Pottery Vase For Sale

From a Tucson, Arizona collector\'s estate:Vintage Santa Clara Pueblo Indian pottery vase by Flora Naranjo.Measures 5¾ inches tall.A very nicely formed and finely painted traditional Santa Clara polychrome vase by a member of the Pueblo\'s premier pottery-making family.
Flora Naranjo (1914-2000) was a daughter of Petra Tafoya Naranjo (1892-1934) and Delfide Naranjo. She learned to make pottery from her mother and began making her own pottery in the 1930’s. She was the mother of Frances Salazar, Barbara Martinez, Glenda Naranjo and Sammy Naranjo. She often worked with her daughter Glenda later in life and signed their pieces together. She created a variety of pottery styles from polychrome to plainware and carved pottery.
Good condition: there is one superficial spot of paint loss along the base and a fair amount of scratches in the painted surface. I have included many photos; Don\'t forget to use the zoom feature to carefully examine the vase!
