Here is your opportunity to acquire an AMAZING piece of vintage, professional player sponsored, baseball equipment. Up for sale is an Original Rawlings St. Louis Cardinals’ Stanley Musial Baseball Glove, in the Original Trading Cards Lidded Box, with Original Collector Print Photo of Stanley Musial, copyright 1952. The glove is from a living estate, from the original owner, who received this glove as a gift when he was a child. This grouping is, overall, from poor, to fair, to very good condition, with each piece having different levels of wear and use. The glove has been used and is in fair to poor condition. The inside of the glove, where the hand is inserted, is the most used and in the poorest condition. The leather is missing and badly torn in this part of the glove. The strap across the back of the hand is also torn. There is a worn spot, a discoloration on the palm side of the glove, at the bottom of one of the finger slots. The best feature of this grouping is the Collector Trading Cards Lidded Box, which is in good to very good condition. The graphics and coloring are simply fantastic on this box. There are 6 uncut Rawlings Trading Cards of Stanley Musial, which make up the lid. All the sides and corners of the lid are intact. The areas of the box that are an off-white, appear to be slightly dirty from wear and handling of the box. There is one small scratch on one card, where the blue is gone; it’s about the size of a piece of rice. There is also, what appears to be a diagonal crease in the lid, that you can only see when the light shines on it from a certain direction. It may be from the original printing, from original shipping, or just simply wear from use and age. The bottom section of the box, which holds the glove and print photo, is in fair to good condition. Two sides are slightly dented in, with creases, and one of the corner seams is unglued. The print photo is in very good condition and still in its original wax paper envelope. The condition and description of this grouping is quite detailed, but a personal opinion of a non-expert in sports memorabilia.
