Vintage Mid Century Karoff Mini Bar Faux Book Set Wood Gold Tone Incomplete
Wood construction and wood has a beautiful tone. Piece measures approx. 16.5 inches long, 11 inches tall and just over 9 inches deep. Very heavy - weighs over 15 lbs with contents.
4 tall tumbler glasses measure approx. 4.5 inches tall.3 shot glasses measure approx. 2.25 inches tall. 3 flasks (bourbon, vodka, scotch) measure just over 8 inches tall. I believe the Gin flask is the one missing. Flasks are stamped KAROFF on bottom of each.
4 tools included - ice pick (shows wear/patina on metal), bottle opener, corkscrew and strainer/mixer. I do not think the ice pick is original to this set because it doesn't match the style of the other tools. The other 3 tools are marked Stainless Steel Japan - the ice pick is not marked. The ice pick looks older than the 3 original tools in set.
Missing one flask bottle - the Gin bottle, I believe. Some of the hardware to hold the tools on underside of lid may not be original. Some hardware attachments are metal and some are plastic. The tools are all old. The ice pick tool does not stay secure to lid in its plastic hardware attachment (sits fine in attachment when lid is up but will fall out of attachment when closing lid). Best to keep it out of the case so it does not fall on the glass or secure it better to the lid.
Outside cover (faux book design) has some damage on edges/corners (pictured). Wood has some damage (scratching/staining) mainly on one exterior side (pictured).
Glasses are in very good condition. No chips, no cracks. Gold tone is very good. The flasks' gold tone lettering is wearing off some (pictured) and the gold tone twist on caps show some finish wear as well (pictured).
