Vintage Mexican Art Gourd Huichol Bead Bowls Ceremonial Prayer Peyote Set Lot For Sale

This beautiful pair of old huichol beaded gourd bowls came from an estate here in Arizona. This set features one bowl that is approximately four inches across, along with a companion smaller bowl in a different design that is approximately three inches across.

The larger bowl features a deer motif and the smaller may be a peyote and star? I’m not certain. These bowls are created by hand using native cultural techniques in Mexico.

These two are clearly old and have some missing beads as well as dust or dirt from being stored. I did some very, very gentle cleaning to remove the top layer(s) of dust only- but I don’t want to damage these or lose any beads, so they are coming to you as shown here. Each bowl has a few missing beads here and there- please see photos. Each bowl has some visible dirt or dust, the smaller much more so than the larger. Neither has any cracks or damage other than noted here.
