Vintage Metal Art Plate - Chardin "Soap Bubbles" - 1974 Ohio Art DishThe Ohio Art Company was founded in 1908 by a man whose primary love was classical art (hence the name...) and though the company became one of the major American success stories with its diversification into toys such as Etch-A-Sketch, it never strayed far from the founder's original dream of producing art for the masses. In 1974, the company came out with a series of round metal decorative plates, featuring details from the Old Masters. This one is of "Soap Bubbles" by Jean-Baptiste Chardin. The back of the plate has a long description on Chardin. The plate is in good, age-related condition -- there's an indentation made for the plate to hang.The metal plate is approx. 10 1/4" in diameter.Features:
