Vintage Marian Nez Navajo Onyx Sterling Ring - *Adjustable* - Free PM/I Shipping For Sale

I don’t know what this style would be called - Modernist? Art Deco? Mid-Century? and it\'s *adjustable*! I cannot find anything else remotely similar to this ring design by Marian Nez, even among her rings sold by galleries. I’m estimating 1980s-‘90s for age, but not sure.

The stone is in great condition, with a few tiny scratches seen with a loupe. I purchased it years ago with the band already slightly misshapen, and a jeweler can probably shape the band back into round if desired. It’s currently approx. a size 8 - it fits my size 8 finger, anyway (fingers are squishable lol). It is slightly top-heavy, so when I wore it I stuck a piece of Dr. Scholl’s foam under the ring to hold it in place so it didn’t slide around. I didn’t wear it often, and the silver is in good shape with a few small wear marks.

- The top is 1-7/8” long x 3/4” wide at widest

- It sits about 1/4” off your hand

- Weight is 18g

NOTE: As with all Native American jewelry with cabs, and especially with oxidation in the design, you don’t want to get the ring wet. If polishing with the special cloth, try to avoid polishing any oxidized areas.
