Vintage Kero-Boy Barrel Pump Gas Station Kerosene Dispenser Oil Lubester For Sale

This is a Vintage Keri-Boy Barrel Pump Gas Station Kerosene Dispenser Oil Lubster ~~ Restored. \"Kero Boy\" logo is riveted to pump base. It says Model 715, No. 127672, WM. M. WILSON\'S SONS, INC. LANSDALE, PA.

Measures 36\" high, 29\" square, 27\" pump height, holds a capacity of 120 gallons. 

This tank is from the early 1900\'s possibly earlier, and was used in a General Store for dispensing kerosene to customers. At the top is a small spicket on the pump for dispensing kerosene into small throated containers. 

Kerosene back in the day was used for lamps, lanterns and also for heaters to keep baby chicks warm in cold weather. Most generally these tanks were kept in the back room of the store to keep the kerosene smell away from customers.

\"A little history on the Kero Boy is that the company was founded in 1819 by James Wilson, an endentured slave who was a trained painter and glazier. In the early 1900\'s they became a steel drum distributor and added petroleum dispensing equipment in the 1920\'s. In 1928 they manufactured their first pump giving it the brand name of \"Gasboy\". 

Their development of the first combination pump and tank for farms in the 1930\'s was the beginning of a company history of innovative solutions to meet the ever changing needs of customers. Now in its third century, Gasboy is still a leader in fuel management system.\"
