This is an ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL and RARE FRENCH SINGING BIRD CAROUSEL! It is signed, J.P. HARTMANN CREATIONS. There is also some other writing in French that I don\'t understand. I\'m unsureof the date this piece was created, but it is vintage. It is BRIGHT and BEAUTUFULLY PAINTED in ENAMEL PAINT.You turn thetop section and the birds go around the carousel up and down, while making a REALISTIC BIRD SONG! I have been unable to find out anything more about this piece and have not found another like it! It reallyjust is a VERY UNIQUE, BEAUTIFUL, and APPARENTLY RARE PIECE! It is in EXCELLENT CONDITION. It\'s slightly dusty....but besides that there are no condition issues. The bird song starts out quite strong, and quiets as it winds down. The birds sing a MELODY, not just a \"tweet, tweet, tweet\" This would make a music box collector VERY HAPPY, or someone who collects automatons, or singing birds. It is made of metal, painted.
