Vintage English Brass Firemans Firefighters Helmet West Ham, London Fire Brigade For Sale

I\'m selling this very unique and beautiful piece of history. It was purchased in London in the late-60\'s by the man I purchased it from. He moved to Dallas, TX USA where his estate was recently sold.
This is a vintage fireman\'s helmet from the district of West Ham in London. The Essex Fire Museum has a similar piece they date to circa 1930. T It is made of brass with a leather insert for the head. There is a leather chin strap on the piece with brass rings attached for show. The leather is in poor condition and the buckle has come off. The buckle will be included. The hat itself has some wear as including cracks in the brass on each side and impact damage on the upper left side of the upper section. The helmet has the crest of West Ham on the front with \"West Ham\" underneath. See photos. I\'ll add more photos in the next few days.
This piece appears to be 100% original.
This a great piece and very few have survived. Much of the surplus metal was melted down during the mid 20th century ofr the war effort.
