Empire is the maker of the famous, Kar-n-Home Travel Coffee percolator, now a \"cult\" favorite! There are not many of these listed.
The \"spreader\", basket and stem are in outstanding condition, and aside from a few tiny paint chips, this piece is in great cosmetic condition; no dings, dents, or scratch lines. The underside has signs of wear, but it\'s not visible (and who cares?)
And as far as it\'s performance, let me say this; I test ALL my coffee percolators for temperature and taste. I always use a tablespoon per cup in my wife\'s \"favorite\" automatic drip maker, because we both like it on the stronger side. I added 4 tbs. to the 4 cup basket, plugged it in, and minutes later had HOT, potent coffee. Honestly (check my responses as a seller!), I have not had such a good cup of Joe from even my vintage Saladmaster pot belly percolator or my Farberware. I suggest 3 tbs. for those who like their coffee somewhere in the middle, and not \"stout.\" It will be cleaned well, and includes a good electrical cord.This will ship USPS Priority Mail and will be insured.
