Foryour consideration is a vintage AUGUST SCHATZ& SOHNE 400-day anniversary clock brass suspension wire protecting tube - made inGermany; The tubeis located at the back of the clock through which passes a delicate suspensionwire assembly. The tube has two sections; the lower part holds the suspensionwire in position while the clock is in transit. This part of the tube is heldtight by a thumb screw. Loosen this screw and raise the lower part of the tubeupward as far as it will go, then tighten the thumb screw. The suspension wireassembly is now ready to receive the pendulum; cosmetic condition isfair; some scratches; great patina. For parts!!!
