This listing is for a vintage 1980's Turkish Soap Box with distressed copper and silver toned finish. Beautiful Boho decor storage box to house soaps, candles, incense, or other bathroom and beauty products. Features a hinged lid with handle, footed base, ornate hammered floral motif, and front swivel latch.

Used in the past to transport clay soaps and washcloths when taking a Turkish bath. These boxes were used as a beauty case for women as they visited the "Hammam". The star shaped piercings on the bottom are to drain water.
