Vintage 1961 UNEEDA 8”GIRL SCOUT DOLL-COMPLETE UNIFORM-HARD PLASTIC-STAND For Sale

This Doll is getting Rarer and Harder to Find-they only made her in 1961-1963 so there weren’t as many made as the 1965 Dolls. You can definitely see she’s different from other dolls as you compare her to the others-and as you hold her. I This vintage 1961 Uneeda 8" Girl Scout doll comes complete with her uniform and stand. The doll is made of hard plastic and was manufactured in the United States. It was called a “walking doll” since her feet can walk straight ahead by pushing each foot forward. Her hair is red in a Buster Brown cut. She has painted eyebrows and lips, molded eyelashes, and blue Sleep Eyes. She has dark green Snaps ( not buttons) down the front of her dress unlike the more common Effanbee Dolls of 1965. The Doll came with or without a tie. Her Shoes and Socks are nice. Her bloomer underwear are a bit yellowed with age but can be washed. The felt Beanie Hat has the white GS Trefoil Logo on it. It is a perfect addition for collectors of historical memorabilia and fraternal organizations, particularly Girl Scouts. The doll represents a piece of American history and is a great way to teach children about this important organization by showing them what was available to Scouts in the 1960’s. The doll is in excellent shape and is a must-have for any serious collector. Please see the pictures for the condition and measurements.
