Monacor Hi Fi Master Monarch Radio made in Japan - 5 tube ac/dc - The radio has been restored by a retired electronics technician with over 30 years experience doing complete restoration work on antique radios, phonographs and telephones. All of the tubes have been tested and replaced where needed, all capacitors tested and replaced where necessary, cord checked, all connections/circuits tested - performance across all bands tested and calibrated. This radio has been pulled apart and completely bench tested. Many old radios will turn on and give you static but often some or all of the tubes are near the end of their useful life and normally the capacitors need to be replaced. My technician friend is working on one now that has 17 capacitors and all 17 failed bench testing and had to be replaced. That is the difference between \"working\" and \"restored.\" This is going to be a great little radio for someone\'s collection. I will wrap it in bubble then put it in a surrround of 1\" styrofoam, then in a good shipping box. If it ships for less than I charged I will refund the difference to you the same day I mail it. If it costs more that\'s on me.
