You are looking at an Electro Voice model 920 \"Spherex\" microphone. This simple, elegant and timelessdesign came right from Buchanan, Michigan during the 1950\'s.

Picture # 2 is from a 1950\'s catalog showing basic specs on this mic.

This 920 utilizeda crystal element which has been tested but sadly no longer works. The original crystal element is still inside though. The small size of this mic will make it easy for the user to cup the piece and use while performing live if one chooses to replace the crystal element with something that actually works. When it\'s cupped in the hand the signal strength really explodes.This 920 has a polished chromebody thatshows typical wear. The screen shows heavy tarnish. please let the detailed pictures be your guide. Overall a good looking 920.

The original cable had a long length to it being 2 feet and extendable to 5 feet with a male Switchcraft 1/4 inch connector. The cable itself is soft, pliable, free of cracks and allows for a wide range of movement if needed. The mic thread is perfect as well with zero signs of use and will screw onto any American mic stand.

I have also been told that these make excellent gear shift knobs for older classic American cars and have sold a couple for such use but I would recommend actually using this as it was originally intended. if you have any further questions about the set up of this microphone please feel free to ask.
