Vintage 1940's WATER BOY Canvas Drinking Water Bag with Metal Cap, Very CleanCanvas drinking water bags were used for long-distance automobile trips, especially through sparsely populated areas of the U.S. and Canada, in the 1940s and 1950s. This bag requires no soaking before use and was made in the USA.
The Water Boy image features an alternate design of a boy wearing a turban, instead of the more common image depicting an American Indian brave with a single feather headband.This vintage item is in very good condition. There is some fading on the bag but the "Water Boy" imageis still very clear. Wefound no rips/tears/holes to thevery cleaninterior and exterior of the bag. The outer dimensions are about 16.5 inches long by 11 inches wide.
