Vintage 1940’s Tiffin Porcelain & Brass 3-Tier Bento Box Made in Thailand For Sale

For sale is a vintage porcelain and brass 3-tier bento box, made in Thailand in the 1940’s. The maker is Tiffin. It consists of 3 porcelain bowls, each 6” in diameter and 2.5” tall, with handles on the sides. They are hand painted and rimmed in brass. The lid is also porcelain, hand painted, and rimmed in brass. The 3 bowls nest together and are secured with a spring action brass carrier that has a brass bamboo handle. The overall size, including the handle, is 11” tall and 7.5” wide. This is a stunning piece in excellent condition. There are no chips or cracks in the porcelain, and the brass is in beautiful condition as well. This is a heavy item, weighing close to 6 pounds. It came from my mother’s estate.
