The only example I am aware of that features a silver, or German silver bell. Engraved \'Supra-Metal Bell\', my tech and I have scratched our heads a bit figuring out what alloy the bell is. Color is like silver, but the \'ping\' sound when you flick the bell flare is too bright for sterling.

I believe it is a German silver alloy, and is solid metal (not plated). It has quite a distinct ping when flicked, and the horn sounds quite a bit more lush than the last Troubador I had. The rest of the trumpet is in original silver plated brass, and is in impeccable shape. Very few flaws on this instrument, a bit of gentle play wear, but otherwise an exceptionally rare and clean Martin.

Sounds very nice, quite dark, very full. Considerably more interesting than the last gold plated Troubador I offered as far as tonal response. I am using a Schilke 2F short shank on this, and it is quite nice. Also the original Martin 8 and my deeper Martin 7 fit well and sound quite good on the horn.
