I am pleased to offer this Vintage c. 1930s Original Franz Stiasny Cast Bronze Mozart Portrait Medal!

This beautiful small portrait medal has a raised side profile of the famous composer Mozart, and is marked "F. Stiasny" The back is stamped "Austria".

Franz Stiasny (1881-1941) was a polish artist who produced a large series of portrait medals. His series focused around important figures in history, including writers, musicians and historic icons. Various medals were cast in Austria in the 1930s.

Medal measures approx. 2-1/8" W x 2-5/8" H (54mm x 65mm)

Condition:

dark patina and some light green patina to the bronze. There is some light scratching.
