NO IDENTIFICATION MARKS,OTHER THAN THE NUMBER \"108\"
from construction....definately german made....and most probably by OROBR .
nice large size arond 10 inches
I WOULD THINK FROM 1910-20
tinplate with litho decorated hull and cabin area.
triple deck guns....canon/machine gun etc...large canon rotates fully....rear mounted,protective turret gun swivels thru 90*
nice lattice deck rigging intact around edge
the middle deck area shows three sets of tab slots...i can\'t be certain,but i\'m pretty sure these are vacant from new?......the slots do not pass thru the decking to its underside (unlike the securing tabs on the big canon and small funnel further back)....and i\'ve only ever seen this vessel referenced once before,where it also appeared with this same deck arrangement.
original mechanism...with very early style spoke front wheel......clockwork/wind-up motor...VERY OLD,with careful winding it will spin wheels and move gun boat over surface.
nice solid gun boat...shows some areas of surface oxidation,scuffs,dinks and general ageing after some 100 years or so...may even clean up better.
very colourful and attractive litho printed cabin and steps.
SCARCE ANTIQUE...VINTAGE...GERMAN BOAT IN ORIGINAL CONDITION....DISPLAYS WELL.
