The Rarest of the Rare! One of the 20th century\'s most iconic moments and images, this listing is for a vintage original 35mm KodakKodachrometransparency is from February 18, 1964 in Miami but was developed in May 1965, per the stamp on the back of the slide.
The Beatles were in Miami for their second appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show (the first appearance was nine days earlier, and their first American concert was six days earlier in Washington, DC). Ali, and 8-1 underdog, was still Cassius Clay at the time, and both he and reigning heavyweight champ Sonny Liston were training for theirFebruary 25 title fight, where Clay/Ali won his first professional title fight. The Beatles wanted to visit Liston, but Liston had no interest, so John, Paul, George and Ringo made their way over to Miami\'s 5th St. Gym, and from there we have this original transparency.
