Does not affect the use of the vest or those straps. One MOLLE strap frayed, one broken thru, will hamper the use of the vest2XLIt is a 2XL, but these vests are versatile. I wear a Large and I can get this vest down to smaller then I wear. To at least a medium, especially if worn over field gear.
