This is a superb Sevres of France porcelain hinged inkwell with the gilt bronze ormolu of which:

during our research: we have been informed it certainly dates from the 18th century:

dates about c1780s.

Underneath the Sevres logo.

Of a with the hand decoration around the circumference and to the hinged lid.

Decorative gilt bronze ormolu to the base and to the lid and top of the base.

Glass liner.

It has an overall height of about 2.75inches.

Base diaof about 3inches.

Dia of top of about 1.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is excellent and is not subject to:

any major blemishes.
