This postcard from the Undivided Back Era depicts an early street video of the Pikes Peak Avenue in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Even though the postcard is addressed, it doesn't seem to have been posted.
In the image, streets are quite wide. Horse carriages are visible. In the distance, you can see the Antlers Hotel when it was known as the Elk Hotel.The Antlers Hotel was first built in 1883 and burned down in 1898. It was rebuilt in 1901 and then torn down in 1964. I believe the image in this postcard is the second iteration of the hotel--the one built in 1901. The hotel was only known as the Elk Hotel from 1905 - 1906 (see source below)
