Remy Martin XO Caprice Ritual Food Pairing Glass Holder Compartment.
An exclusive serving ritual has been created for Rémy Martin XO cognac at fashionable London restaurant and bar Sexy Fish.
It features a brushed copper circular steel mermaid-etched base, which is twisted open to reveal a hidden Japanese Zen garden. Each element inside is edible, paired with the different flavour notes and aromas of the cognac.
It begins with a cloud of jasmine smoke that reflects the rich floral nose of white flowers within Rémy Martin XO. The garden’s bed has the rich and mature flavours of passion fruit and cherry crisp “soil”, velvety “pebbles” made from sour plum and soy honeycomb, and parmesan skin “clouds”.
The concept, which aims to incorporate smell, taste, touch and visual elegance, was created by Sexy Fish’s team, headed by executive bars manager Xavier Landais, who worked with Rémy Martin and Chic Design agency to turn the idea into reality. Five of the serving bases have been produced.
The Mayfair restaurant was set the challenge as part of Rémy Martin’s new global marketing campaign “One Life/Live Them” which celebrates individuals with more than one talent, such as bartenders who are also talented at design.
