Fine porcelain Remember the Maine tankard. It is unmarked but from the style and transfer design I would be certain it is from the potteries of East Liverpool Ohio. Hand painted transfer design includes the ship, a US flag with mourning wreath, and urn with smoke issuing from it which, on the East Liverpool plates includes 280 as the estimated (but in the event slightly wrong) number of those killed. In ribbons top and bottom is written "Remember the Maine" and "US Battleship Maine Destroyed Havana Harbor Feb 15th, 1898. Thick walled and heavy. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks and only firing imperfections.

4" tall, 3.5" diameter, not including the handle.
