Here is an interesting item, We believe this to be a Belgium Export Bayonet, blade is stamped, PJ which we believe stands for P.J. Malherbe & Co. Liege Belgium. Neck marked, crown over BF. Top right of socket is stamped, "338." Bayonet measures 19.5" with a 17" blade and the inside diameter is .720-.730". The rifle entrance end has a three pointed hole key at the base which I have seen with Swiss bayonets. The bottom of the blade, below the elbow, is flared and comes upward a bit gradually for about 2". Shows much original finish mixed with age patina, spottings. A most unusual item. See photos.
