Rare and wonderful Mechanical Foxy Grandpa Toy/Doll, circa 1900, Original For Sale

If you are a collector of the unusual or know a lover of Foxy Grandpa, you may also know of his antics with his grandsons! This Foxy Grandpa toy is unusual in design and condition!

Dating from 1900, he is supposedly German made with molded composition head, hollow paper mache body, wire upper arms and legs, wooden lower arms and legs. Early carved tiny feet! He has a molded hat and wire glasses attached to his head. His suit is blue stiffened cotton? And has a lot of color left (usually they are faded to gray) a yellow vest red tie, all clothes graying somewhat with age but no tears, mends, holes and stains. Head is original and no repaints, mends, cracks, etc. no smells or smoke.

He holds one of his grandsons by the ears. A string is fastened at the top of the boys head, goes through a loop on Grandpa\'s hat, and when pulled, Grandson goes up in air. He has a composition head, wooden body and lower limbs. Really a cute action!
