This listing is for a Rare 2 autographs by Roland Hayes. One is a signed and dated envelope bearing his photograph and an American Music U.S. postage stamp (5 cents). The envelope is post marked Boston, Massachusetts, 1969. The second autograph is on a piece of cardboard or note paper. Both are hand signed and dated June 9, 1969 and they are from the same collection. Roland Hayes (1887-1977) was an American tenor and composer, and he was the first African-American artist to be recorded in 1939 by Columbia. This is one of more than a hundred musician autographs from a collector that meticulously solicited autographs by mail and recorded for prosperity the dates and address of the artist. Several from the collection are currently available for sale in this store, several more will be listed soon. The pictures are part of the description, what you see is what you get. Since we are not experts in authenticating this listing by any means, please inspect the pictures and be the judge.

Size: approximately 11 x 13 1/2 inches framed.
