The shade is held on with a screw, I’m guessing someone had a special finial for it once upon a time, but when I purchased it was missing, the shade I had purchased new for it, I’ll save some money on shipping if you don’t want the shade, it would go in a separate box otherwise, it’s expensive to ship..
